Hi,

For some time I face a strange problem. From time to time when I play the party my songs skip every couple of seconds. I can see on the screen the wave stops for a very short while, resulting in skipping the track. RAM / processor is definately not overloaded. The files are definately in good condition - that's not a problem of files as they normally play using other software than Serato. I also changed USB - no change. I rather expect the controller to be a source of the problem, as when I disconnect it and Serato goes into basic "one deck" option, there is no more skipping/freezing problem. I have already re-installed Serato and re-scan all the tracks, but no result. Any help/advice?

Yes, I have all Mac updates and I agree that some time ago, with the same software and hardware I did not have this problem.

Please check your Latency / Samples at Serato. Set ist to 256 / 512 Samples and check.
Set Audio / Midi Setup to 44.1 KHz.

I am having the exact same problem as Maken since I updated my OS to 10.12.5. The tracks slightly jump when playing. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. Now I don't trust my TM2 to play at gigs. This doesn't happen when I use my turntables and Serato DJ so it is something with the TM2. I have the most current firmware and most current version of Serato DJ. I even went back to my old version of Serato DJ and the same thing happens when I use the TM2. Any help in resolving this issue would be appreciated. Otherwise I'm going to have to buy another controller.

This was also a start of my problem... System update. However, I finally managed to update the controller firmware to the latest version (through Windows system, I could not make it through Mac) and at home when tested, works good. But I will see at the party. Before it also worked at home, but skipped while playing the sound system.

I was writing as below, but unfortunately my problem did not go away. Played a party recently and it occured again. I don't know why it happens as the problem started in the middle of the party without any changes to the system, wifi turned off etc. That's really terrible! The only solution was turning off the controller and turning on again - but this means a break in the music.
And it also helped only for a few minutes.

While my first message still does not appear here, I found a workaround to get my Reloop Terminal Mix 2 back to working order.

I simply connected the controller through a PASSIVE USB Hub. I d not at all know why, but it absolutely fixes the skipping problem. (Works for macOS High Sierra Public Beta 4 too)

But just to be on the safe side I created a second boot partition on my Macbook running Yosemite. The iTunes and _Serato_ folders are connected via symlink to the normal location on the Sierra Partition. Works too, so I have a fallback ...

Well, my last solution only helped for a short while. During my next gig I had the same stuttering audio like before. No luck so far. Only thing that really works is my Yosemite partition or any other controller.

Fun Fact: The error only occurs on my Macbook Pro i7 Last 2011. My poor Macbook White Core2Duo from Early 2009 works well and my iMac 2013 with the latest High Sierra 10.13.1 Beta 2 works too. Just my work horse fails.

@Reloop: This is pretty bad. Any suggestions? Any support from you or your officials?

Hi mcsushii,
i am sorry but Apple changed the USB settings and driver with every new OS and in different style for every CPU / ChipSet !!   So there are still Problems with the i7 models !
Reloop can not solve this. This is on Apple's side.
There are many problems with this USB connection and CORE Audio.  Some controllers from othe Brands like Native S4 Mk1  are still dead and no further Support for OS 10.12 ...
So if you do Partys and Jobs with your TM2 why not think about an up to date upgrade  like Mixon 4 ?
