Hi

I have a problem with my two RP 8000 TT's using with regular and timecode vinyl listening the analog signal.

When i turn on the TT's and put the needle over the vinyl, play start button, next stop and 2 seconds later i heard a continue click- click -click -click sound. I have tryed other cardbridges and other RCA but i have the same sound. I have tryed in phono-phono and line-line setting conections and is the same.

When i turn off the TT's the sound dissapear and when i turn on not sound nothing,  when i put the needle over the stopped vinyl the sound come again 2 seconds later. If i touch the case of the TT's (little hit) with the needle over the stopped vinyl then the sound stop and 2 seconds later continue again.

When is playing not sound the click but when i stop the vinyl the sound come again 2 seconds later.

Look like when the needle recieve any signal the click sound dissapear but 2 seconds later come again, i think that can be a ground problem of the TT's.

Can you help me please ??

Thanks in advance

exactly the same problem here ,this sound still there ,either you change the phono/line switch on the back of the RP8000,
they know but do anything to fix it than "go to your reseller" ,
i really like Reloop products but the Reloop support is far the worst to deal with...

sorry if i make grammar mistakes english is not my language ;)

Peace!

Hey guys,

first of all, I am sorry for the delay, we did not have enough manpower to provide 24h support during the last 2 weeks. At least, I'd say it's not fair to say that we have a bad customer support. We get hundreds of customer questions via mail, facebook, youtube, instagram, twitter, the forum etc. and thus it is pretty hard to reply to every single question just in time. Please double-check other brands, some of them don't even offer email or social media support - you have to call and wait in the line.

To get back to the issue: I watched the video and I would say it's a grounding issue, too. You can try the following:
-use another surface to put your turntables on
-try another pair of shoes while mixing(sounds odd but this solved grounding issues in the past)
-connect your turntable to another power outlet, also try to inverse the power plug 180°

Is the noise audible when playing vinyl? We have many DJs like DJ Angelo and FongFong using our RP-7000 and RP-8000 series and they never complained about noise or sound issues. Nevertheless, I will forward the video to our factory and try to find a solution with our engineers.

Kind regards, Matthias

Hi

I will try it and tell you something about.

The problem is with timecode vinyl and regular vinyl too but not sound when is playing, only sound before stop and wait 5 seconds, then start to sound the click sound at low level.  I am sure that is a ground problem, i will try you say me and tell you about.

Another day I have tryed to disconect the usb cable from the TT's and the problem disapear. I will continue checking the equipment to find and solve the problem. Report the issue please for give a posible solution.

Thanks and regards!!

Hi Matze

i have detected that the problem is only when the usb cable is conected, i have tryed some ways changing some hubs and have tryed with direct conection to my pc and the problem continue. I will try another usb cable, another pc and conect the equipment in another room, another house and too i will check the ground of the power outlet to be sure that is all ok but i think that is a problem on the TT´s. Never had this problem with any other equipment and other TT´s.

Regards

Sounds like USB interference, but we can not reproduce the issue here at Reloop HQ :(

Is this issue finally resolved? Recently i bought one used RP 8000 (still on warrinty) and it is nice pice of gear but I noticed the same issue when USB cord is connected and there is no signal from the needle then after few seconds this clicking sound is starting.
