Hi, can anyone please help me?..

I bought a RP-7000 turntable, set it up through phono cable to my DDJ-SX2 mixer, everything seems to be in order, but the sound coming out my Pioneer DJ60X speakers from the turntable is really quiet and keeps cutting in and out. I've tried it on both line and phono inputs as well as without plugging the usb into my laptop and a different headshell/cartridge that I know works but the problem still persists.

I wondered if I need an amp or something like that to resolve the issue? But I know that the mixer has a pre-amp. Is it possibly due to a lack of power? If so, how would I fix this? I tried plugging the equipment into another power extension cord but then there was no sound coming out of the speaker or signal/volume showing on the controller.

There's sound playing coming off the needle on the record so that seems to be set up right. Although there was a metal piece that came with the Reloop OM black cartridge that I'm not sure if is meant to go between the cartridge and the headshell?

Thanks

I've solved it. Fiddled about a bit with the wires and it's fixed. I think something was just a bit loose.
