Ive had enough issues with the controller and poor support.  The problem is their power supplies.  I got two from amazon that corrected the hum, but overall the unit still has issues with pitch lock turning on and no crossfader curve adjustment, i had enougg and brought it back to the store.  I paid a bit more and got a pioneer which is absolutely flawless, better audio output on top as well.

I dont think i would ever buy from reloop again

Folks,

Sorry if I'm a little late to the party, but those Sunny power supplies are definitely the issue with loud hum and the majority of other weird static noise.

I can vouch for the Mean Well GS40A12-P1J. I ordered one off Amazon and it works like a boss. No more hum. I tossed my OEM Sunny supply in the trash. I will occasionally get a small amount of static noise, but I'm pretty sure this is because my iPad has a cellular radio in it. When I say a small amount, it's barely noticeable, and only when there is no music being played through the Mixon.

If you're not state-side and in a pinch, any 12v DC 36 or 40 watt power supply with a 2.1x5.5x11mm center positive connector should be sufficient. I would suggest you stick to a regulated supply though.

Here's a sad scenario for you: It is more difficult to notice this issue until the Mixon is connected to a large, loud PA with subs. Imagine putting in a bunch of practice on your new controller at home only to go play your first gig with your new gear and have it sound like garbage. To add insult to injury at that point, you realize your return window has expired. Unfortunately, reading through the forums, this has happened to a few people and is bound to happen to more.

Arghhh!!! After months of using my Mixon 4 at home with headphones, no issues noticeable I now find the infernal hum noise when attempting to connect up to my speaker setup (using the booth output). Looking at the power supply it's one of these Sunny units for UK supply. The noise definitely is power supply related, as when you move the supply slightly, the hum changes.

Reloop, please can you recommend a UK power supply that won't have this issue? At the very least, provide a link to somewhere we can buy one. At the best, please issue a product recall on the power supply shipped with the Mixon as the hum is probably indicating something isn't safe...and therefore you would be liable in court if anything happened...especially since you've acknowledged the issue on these forums already but done nothing to resolve it.

While I wait patiently, does anyone else in the UK know where I can replace this awful power supply?

I wonder who will respond first, other customers or Reloop? The race is on!!!

It's like I predicted the future in my last post!

DJ Hombre,

Please don't hold your breath for a speedy Reloop response. You would likely pass out. In all fairness though, it is the weekend in Germany.

While you wait patiently for an official reply, check this out...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00SG0T9H6

It matches the output specifications and connector size / type of the OEM Sunny power supply and it's available in your neck of the woods.
