Audio Dropouts

07 April 2018, 14:14
Hello friends,

I'm trying this forum after many attempts to solve my frustrating problem... So, I'll just mention that I purchased a new laptop just a few months ago, especially for the purpose of not having any technical issues while DJing with Beatmix 2 controller, using serato DJ.

The problem is that every so often I'm getting audio dropouts while playing. the music pauses for a fraction of a second and the "Audio Dropout Warning" sign is shown on the software screen.
Additionaly, it seems that the CPU metter is normally a bit high compared to my old computer which I've been using before.

These are my computer specs:

Dell Inspiron 15 5578
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.9GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM
OS Drive: SK hynix SC311 SATA 512gb
I'm using serato with Reloop beatmix 2 controller connected through a usb 3.0 port.

These are the steps I've already tried:

Update Reloop Beatmix driver and firmware software, update graphics driver, update network adapter driver, disable C-State Transition and Turbo Boost, adjust Power Options as Serato site recommended, disable USB Power Management, install the latest device drivers, update all the Drivers from Dell website.

I would be glad for any help that could solve the issue

thanks in advance,

Hi Alon,
these are known BUGS with DELL Hardware and WIN 10 especially after the WIN 10 Creator Update...
There a several Problems in other Support Sites like Pioneer RB .  Sometimes it helps to uninstall ALL pre installed DELL Software !!!  These Software and Dell helping tools are Audio Killer...

Sorry for you but the Audio DJ World is a MAC OS World....

Hi Sigo,

Thank you for the advice, I'll try that.
